Betina is built on the slopes of Cape Artić. The town is dominated by a baroque bell tower of the church of St. Francis of Assisi, where the net of old stone streets of typical Dalmatian and Mediterranean architecture streams downwards. The streets radiate from the top of the hill to four sides and stone houses are tightly close to one another. Because of the extreme imagery and preserved historic centre, Betina is protected as a cultural monument.
